Mixes to Dig: Move D – Phonica Mix Series 35

Following a triumphant Mantissa team outing to see Move D at Oval Space last weekend, it seems only fitting for this weeks mix to dig to come from the man himself. Move D will always have a special place in the hearts of the Mantissa crew after a stellar performance at Bloc 2016; where he played a last minute set comprised purely of records he dug out of the buy and sell shop on site. With the mix, he provides the latest instalment of the Phonica Mix Series, which has previously featured some notable efforts from the likes of Palms Trax, Leif and Lone.
Move D supplies a sun-kissed selection that offers the perfect soundtrack as the first signs of spring are beginning to emerge. The opener, People by Miir, has a Mediterranean feel and evokes memories of summer from the get-go. This really sets the tone for the rest of the mix and tracks such as Paul Cut – French Love Affair and KSM –Te Quiero (club mix) certainly aid in reinforcing this. The mix is an ideal accompaniment to a sunny afternoon and emphatically builds excitement for the approaching festival season.
Enjoy.
