Mixes to Dig: Phonatic – Dozzy Dives Under 120

There are few producers as well respected in the Underground scene as Donato Dozzy. Highly acclaimed by DJs and producers alike for his unpredictable and extremely diverse range of productions, his tracks are as in place in a set by James Holden as they are by Palms Trax. Not to mention the glowing praise received from Omar S who “Likes his shit”, high acclaim from from a man that is a fan of only a handful of producers.
Only a handful of producers command my attention for each release and produce work of such a consistent standard, Pearson Sound, DJ Sotofett, Leif, Omar-S and Donato Dozzy. Hence, when this mix was suggested to me by another member of the team with a tracklist of which I knew only half the songs, the opportunity to discover more Dozzy gems was too great to refuse.
Put together by a Berlin based DJ, Phonatic, the selection and blending between tracks is near flawless. The mix intensity is increased from start to finish, however in a much more subtle manner than in mixes typically showcased on Mixes To Dig. The mix as you would expect is ended the timeless Cassandra, played in its entirety to showcase its greatness. Donato Dozzy’s tracks put together in this format help form a mix which is perfect for relaxing after a long hard week, or as background music for an intense revision session.

Listen below to some of the mix highlights:

However to fully appreciate the tracks listen to them brilliantly meshed together in this mix, masterly put together by Phonatic.
