Mixes to Dig: San Proper @Dekmantel São Paulo

Boiler Room is undoubtedly responsible for increasing the accessibility and popularity of underground music over the past few years. Producing many amazing sets from renowned, and lesser-known acts, while introducing many great characters at the same (shouts to towel guy). In recent years many of their highlights have come from their stage at Dekmantel Festival, so when it was announced that they would be hosting a stage at the inaugural Dekmantel São Paulo it was on fair to assume that more Boiler Room highlights would be produced.
My pick of the sets from Dekmantel São Paulo Boiler Room was San Proper’s. It is a set which epitomises what Boiler Room is all about – fun. With exuberant dancing from San Proper and the trademark dancers, perfectly compliment the ebullient music on offer. The visuals in combination with San Proper’s excellent mixing and selection help produce one of the best boiler rooms I have watched in a long time. Highlights include his opener, MC Ghee – I Got Broke Breakdancin’ (Instrumental), K Hand – Boiler Room Teaser, and San Proper – Born Ready (The Rainco Disclub Bow Mix). Listen to them all below.
Finally, in all the years of boiler room, you would be hard pressed to find a better sign off than San Proper’s final two minutes. However, make sure you add some context beforehand, it is all about the music after all.

Be sure to check out some of the handpicked highlights below…
