Tune of the week this week comes from an Italian producer with quite possibly the best name in the business right now – DJ Plant Texture. “I Don’t Dance” released on DJ Haus’s Unknown to the Unknown imprint is an acid-tinged techno banger that certainly holds true to the label’s rave-inspired output.
A bubbling acid line and crunchy rhythm lead into a driven drum pattern that really gets the ball rolling. Deep chords add an impressive ethereal sway to the record that would otherwise be relentlessly hard-hitting. The track builds towards an unexpected, but exceptional jungle breakdown that is guaranteed to cause synchronised face-screwing across any dancefloor.
If this production is anything to go by then DJ Plant Texture is definitely one to keep an eye on in the near future.
