Tune of the Week: Hannd – I’’’4u [RPR010]

Hannd’s (aka Dan Hopkins’) recent u’4u EP release on Raw Paper Records is brilliantly crafted to take the listener on an enjoyable journey as they listen to the EP in full. Dan created the EP with this fully in mind as he didn’t want to create another EP that could just be used as a collection of tools for DJ’s.
A personal highlight of mine is the track I’’’4u, the fourth track in the EP. The tune starts off with wonderful warming synths and the faint broken percussion over the top. Before long the beat kicks in with a beautiful elated euphony of simple but clinquant cords floating over ambient intermezzos.
A wonderful listen from start to finish.
