Tune of the Week: Kettenkarussell – Brueder [Giegling LP06]

Leafgar Legov and Konstantin have teamed up again for another release as Kettenkarussell on the esteemed Giegling imprint. The German based label has garnered a significant following over the past few years, and for good reason. The extensive hype and high expectations that precedes each release is seldom not matched or surpassed by the quality of the output, and Insecurity Guard is no exception. Warm hazy synths linger throughout Brueder, while a crisp drum break creates the beat. The sound of rainfall sets a subdued tone initially, but as the track progresses celestial chords appear to break through the clouds, providing some truly euphoric moments. Brueder connects with you on many levels; you can see it being equally as perfect for home listening as it will be at festivals this summer.
