A collaborative effort by Alvin Aronson and Galcher Lustwerk culminated in ‘Scenes 2012 -2015’ that was release in the first quarter of 2016. The personal highlight of the album was ‘ITCZ’. It starts off as the descending theme washes over your ears with a gentle crescendo in tandem with some lovely percussion ticking away. The kick drum drives the track home as it wanders and “hangs” in air with the infectious bassline to keep those head nodding -perfect for an opener in a club or for looking out of your bedroom window.
We at Mantissa are very excited about this project from Alvin and Galcher and look forward to future releases. Speaking of which, make sure you cop Eventide/Ascension, their new 12” dropping later this month.
